Common roots, the same way of dialoguing in music, and a desire to explore new possibilities, this is what characterizes the duo Renato Martins-Pierre Gillet. Vibrating wood and strings, they use their acoustic guitar, cajon and udu (ceramic percussion instrument of African origin) to present Brazilian musical themes or jazz standards.

Le Grand Sud (The Great South), is a musical project bridging European and Latin musical traditions, featuring the harmonious interplay of two 7-string guitars and an accordion and showcasing a mix of composed themes and spontaneous improvisations, all crafted by the trio, with renowned French accordionist Lionel Suarez as special guest on 2 tracks.
